Chimo, Puerto Vallarta

 El Chimo is a small fishing village just inside the southern point of the bay, Cabo Corientes. If you to really relax, this is the place. The fishermen go out very early and their catch will end up at the fresh fish stalls in Puerto Vallarta. There's at least one restaurant on the beach, serving mainly seafood. Shell fish, especially fresh oysters, are easily available.

This is very old information and I haven't had the opportunity to update, so you're on your own.

Getting there.
There is now one daily water taxi service from Boca de Tomatlan at 9am to Chimo, for 100 pesos each way. It gets to Chimo about 10am and then picks up people for the return trip. This information is also a bit dated.
You can get there by road, at least in the Dry Season, but it would take most of one day. See Map.
If you come you'll have to stay the night.
